Where were the parents????

Thanks for avoiding the profanity. :earsboy: I'm trying to keep my mouth in check, too. If I were in that situation, I would have snapped. <Reminder to self: count to 10, or 100, or whatever it takes to keep from exploding> :hourglass

OK!!! DS is 6 so if in about 6 years or so you see a boy walking around DISNEY with a phone number in BIG BLOCK NUMBERS that will be my child and the phone number will be MINE!!!! CALL if you ever see him doing anything!!!!

I myself was no model child , but I can PROMISE you that I NEVER disrespected my parents or ANY other ADULT in public!!!! I think my age group was right there before the GOV started sticking their nose in because WK (my dad) would tear my tail up in a heart beat and NOT care who was LOOKING!!!!!!  An I HONESTLY think that I am a BETTER person because of IT!!!!

And yes, the Sunday before Christmas I was the one at MGM spanking the little girlin the bathroom!!!! There I said it!!! But she was a better child when we left and did not spit on her brother who was riding in the stroller with her for the rest of our trip!!!!!! :rotfl: :rotfl:

I don't get how the behavior of a group of obnoxious teens can be blamed on anyone or anything but themselves. My kids play video games. They would not smear ketchup on seats and laugh. Every genereation has lamented about how teens today are so out of control. I have 2 of them now, plus a 22 year old, and they are great kids!

You pretty much just proved that how the teenagers in question were behaving reflects how they were raised! Your kids wouldn't behave like that because (apparently) you raise them to be well-behaved and respectful. Good job, and thank you!

although a few more posts have alluded to this all being the government's fault, I still have yet to have someone explain why. Children need to be disciplined, that is the parent's responsibility. I don't see any law that says a parent can't spank a child (I'm sure the last poster wasn't arrested for the spanking she gave her child in the bathroom). I personally don't believe in spanking, but for those who do it isn't against the law (and I'm not judging!)...neither is grounding, taking away the nintendo, knowing who the kid's friends are, keeping 'tabs' and good old fashioned spending time with them so they can be taught right from wrong. My teenage son, who is a great kid and never gets in trouble, could quite possibly have done something stupid like the ketchup thing....teens do stupid things that they later regret, but it doesn't mean we should just allow them to do those things and then turn around and say it is someone else's fault! IMHO, If it were my teen I would have wanted him thrown out of the show (at a minimum!). What would have been great is for a CM to have told them that they would have to exit the park unless a chaperone was contacted. If it were my son I would have wanted to know what he had done, ulitmately his behavior is my responsibility and I'm sure the government would let me handle the discipline as I see fit.

I still see their behavior totally unacceptable -it is not a prank when you ruin others experience.
Still no excuse for being disrespectful.
ITA...these kids should have known better and been respectful for the community as a whole.
