Here is where we ate on our trip 11/2 - 11/8.
We drove straight through from NY and were able to book a room at Wyndham Palace for $99 for a Sat. night. Being exhausted we decided to order room service, club sandwiches and French onion soup, food was excellent.
Sunday we ate lunch at TGI Fridays and did some grocery and souvenir shopping while waiting for our room at BCV's. Sunday night was supposed to be HDDR. but my in-law's plane was delayed so we rescheduled and went to Spoodles at the Boardwalk. I had the oak grilled porterhouse pork chop which was delicious.
Monday we went to Epcot to sample from the Food and Wine Festival. I'm sure I'll forget some of the samples we tried, but here goes nothing:
1. Blackened Mahi with Pineapple Salsa- excellent
2. Tried both the taco and the other offering (the name escapes me) along with a watermelon water (awesome), everything was delicious.
3. Corned Beef and Cabbage with Colcannon. Being Irish I was curious, it was tasty but a very small sample.
4. Chicken with Peanut Sauce on a skewer. Excellent.
We also had a beer and pretzel in Germany, the pretzel was fantastic.
Dinner on Monday was the HDDR. It never changes and we love it. Fried chicken, ribs, corn, salad, and bread with sweet cream butter. Comfort food at its best.
Tuesday morning we ate at CRT for breakfast. It was my MIL birthday, and they showed her plenty of attention. All the princesses came to the table within minutes of our being seated. So by the time the food arrived we were all done with the pictures. Absolutely love this breakfast, I'm always stuffed when I leave. The french toast danish seems to have been changed a little, I enjoyed it but it was better last time.
Tuesday evening was a birthday dinner at Flying Fish. This is one of my top three favorite restaurants at WDW. I had wood fired scallops with a pumpkin risotto for my entree that was fantastic, my appetizer escapes me at this time. We had a birthday illuminations cruise booked for after dinner so no dessert. They did bring out a creme brulee for the birthday girl, nice touch.
Wendsday was a quiet pool and shopping day with dinner at Artist Point. For my appetizer I had the venison spring rolls, incredible. My entree was the beef tenderloin, also incredible. And for dessert we shared a berry cobbler, my favorite.
On Thursday we went to MGM. It started raining hard so we ducked into the nearest counter service which was the ABC Commissary. UGH! This was by far the worst food I've ever eaten at WDW. And because of the rain the lines were almost out the door.Dinner on Thursday night more than made up for it. We ate at the Chef's Table in Victoria and Albert's. I will write another post describing our menu, but I'll say now that it was the gastronomic experience of a lifetime. Chef Hunnel outdid himself and we loved every flavorful bite. I just drooled on my keyboard thinking about the desserts.
Friday we had a nice dinner at Beaches and Cream to wrap up a fantastic week. Don't miss the No Way Jose sundae, sure it makes you naseous but it's worth it.
Thanks for reading!-Chris

), Artist Poit, and V&A's - although I never tried the Chef's table. I'm really looking forward to that review!
