We had a party of 9 ages 60 to 6months:
Sun 1/2 : Lunch at Rainforest Cafe in DTD. We all enjoyed our meal here. The kids had pasta and shrimp, I had a grilled chicken salad that was very good. My DH had pastalaya that he liked, DM had a crabcake sandwhich with huge chunks of crab, and DS and DBIL had a bunch of appetizers. Service was very good and the atmosphere was a lot of fun.
Dinner: B&C. Everyone loved this place. They have the best burgers in Disney. My DS 6 has been begging for a kitchen sink since we were here last summer. It was so yummy! We had 3 kids and 3 adults and we still couldn't finish it.
Mon 1/3 Lunch: Cosmic Rays. DS and DM had burgers. I had the bacon turkey wrap- pretty good but wouldn't get it again. DH had rotiserie chicken that he said was okay. Kids had chicken and ate it all. Okay place for a counter restaurant.
Dinner: International dinner and Illuminations Dessert Buffet
Had high hopes for the price ($419 for 6 adults and 3 kids). Was kinda disorganized- each family had to check in as a group and go to the podium for wrist bands. At 7:30 they started bringing people in, one group at a time. We didn't get in until 7:50 and didn't get drinks 'til after 8. So we had less than 1 hour to eat before Illuminations started. The food was okay- there was a Japanese stir-fry beef station with hibatchi rice, a German station with pot. salad, schnitchel (I can't spell), & sausage, an Italian station with cheese ravioli and bow-ties alfredo, a Chinese station with yummy spare ribs and salty dumplings, and a kiddie station with chicken fingers, mac-n-cheese and uncrustables.
Entertainment was cute- a storyteller got all the kids involved and Minnie & Goofy came to dance.
We moved at 8:50 to the Illuminations viewing area- what a great view! They had coffee, tea and lemonade as well as a variety of sweets: rice crispy bars, brownies, creme horns, eclairs, tarts and fresh fruit.
Overall, we had a good time but it was too short for the price.
Tues 1/4 lunch Tangerine Cafe: used Q&C vouchers- tons of food. Everything was very good. I had the chicken schwarma (SP?) platter. Loved the hummus. Will definitely go again.
Dinner Artist Palate at SSR food was okay. A little too trendy for my DH taste. We will go here when we go to the pool and don't want to go anywhere. I had the turkey with brie that was pretty good. My kids were very disappointed with the lack of french fries.
