Where to watch park fireworks outside the parks?

We're doing a resort-only trip soon so where are the best places to watch MK and Epcot fireworks that aren't in the parks themselves?

I agree. We stayed at the Contemporary on a prior Disney trip and really enjoyed the fireworks from that outdoor area. You can't see the lighting effects a ground level around the castle, but we mostly wanted to watch the aerial fireworks.

Avoids the mass of people trying to get transportation once it is over. OP didn't mention where they are staying which might also be a consideration.

For MK let me suggest the ferry dock at the TTC. They pipe in the music, and you have a pretty much straight on view of the castle. And if you have a car parked in the TTC parking lot, you can be on the tram back to it before the hordes start descending from the monorail and ferry to do the same thing.

If you don’t have a car, I would suggest taking rideshare from the TTC back to your resort after the fireworks are over. Again, you’ll be able to request one before so many other people arrive at TTC to do the same thing. (if you’re not staying at a monorail resort, you can take Disney transportation from your resort to MK, then ride the monorail or ferry to the TTC before the fireworks begin.)

Agreed that was pretty spectator. We were in the front half too once for that. Gotta get lucky with timing (I like to tell myself there was some skill involved in that lol).

Would the dock at the TTC be a good place for the July 3 fireworks? Have a Kona reservation at the Poly and could maybe walk over there if not allowed on the Poly beach? (Staying at Beach Club and have our car). Thanks!

Yes, the view from TTC is very similar to that from the Poly beach. From both you can see the extra fireworks that are set off from different spots around the lagoon. The July 3 and 4 fireworks are a 180° show.

You can see them from Ohana if you time the reservation right. They pipe the music in (at least they did for wishes Years ago)

Contemporary, Polynesian and Grand Floridian do provide optimal views of Magic Kingdom's fireworks shows. On some nights, you'll not only get the fireworks but you'll also be able to see the Electric Water Pageant on the Seven Seas Lagoon.

In the case of EPCOT, the Luminous fireworks are best viewed outside of the parks at BoardWalk near the Atlantic Dance Hall.

Of course in both cases parking will be subject to availability, so unless you're staying at these resorts or you have sufficient access to Disney Transport service, you will need to plan at least an hour or more getting to the other resorts. Parking can fill up quickly, especially with those who have dining reservations!
