I know some people have said from the Contempary. Some one once said over at the Boardwalk. Trying to figure out what to do the first night we arrive after dinner at Chef Mickeys. Don't want to go into the parks.

There's a deck by the water at the GF that offers a great view if the MK show and the Big River Brew Co. has a patio with tables where one can see the Epcot display.

The beach at the Poly is great, there are also observation decks at the CR, just go out the doors at the end of the man building and take the stairs up to the fourth of fifth floor and go out. You can hear the music too. For the Illuminations fireworks we were able to see part of them from our balcony at the YC. You can actually take the monorail to MK and stand outside the gate and see tehm and hear the music. We have watched them several times from there as we were leaving the park returning to the CR

Last May on our first day we had dinner at CM and then rode the monorail (in the front!) and then wen to the Poly beach to watch the fireworks. It is not at all crowded there and is very relaxing!

We stayed at the Contemporary last time we were there and were able to watch them from the balcony last time. From the concourse walk out the doors closest to the MK. We got there about 10 -15 minutes eatly and by the time it started there were a bunch of people out there. Also one night we were by the GF Pool I believe but it wasn't as good a view as at the contemporry and if you are going to be there for Chef Mickey why not stay .... :confused3
