Where to Stay

Would you stay at one of the All Star Resorts or the new Pop Century Resort? We have stayed at the All Star Resorts since our first year. Took us one trip to realized that we are never in the room or the resort. Also, wondering the following:
How long does it take to get to theme parks from the Pop Century?
Why are the All Star's a little more than the Pop Century?

We are staying at Pop in Oct, this is first onsite trip. I thought that all the values were the same price. We chose Pop Century because its newer and have had several people we know stay there and they really like it.

My only knowledge is of Pop. I liked it. Even though I have never stayed at the AS I have heard that the buses from POP go right the park. At the AS you have to go to all the stops, so your trips might be a little shorter in length.

My vote would be for POP, but I've never stayed at AS so that could be why. Seriously though, POP is great. And you're right - things are a bit cheaper there. That's because AS are in a different county than the rest of the resorts, and that county has a slightly higher sales tax.

I prefer Pop to the all stars for a value resort. I like the theming at Pop better, and I think their food court is better than the rest. It's several years newer than the All Stars, too.
