Where to stay with extended family?

My dear sweet husband and I just returned from my first ever visit to WDW 1/28-2/1...if you have never been there that time of year, I'm just saying, it was AMAZING!!! We walked on to every ride, had our choice of dining options and the weather was beautiful. It's one of the best vacations I've ever had, truly magical (now, the fact that we were celebrating an anniversary and this was our first time away from the kids might have something to do withi it! )

Anyway, we had such a good time, and were so amazed at the lack of crowds, that we decided to try to take our little ones (currently 3 and 1) the same time next year, with my stepsons (8 and 10) and possibly two sets of grandparents (for those of you who have lost count, that would be six adults and four kids.)

For those seasoned vets - where do you recommend staying with that size group? Pretend price is no option (I'm not saying that's the case but work with me...) and we don't have to all be in one villa or something, but we could be. On the trip we just had, we stayed at the Grand Floridian, and I must admit, got a little spoiled by the easy access to everywhere, so that would be a priority for us - location, I mean.

Looking forward to your suggestions! I can't wait to plan my next trip - DH and I keep looking at each other and pining for WDW...

I went last summer with my two kids, my mom, my sister, her husband and three nieces. We rented a private pool home and it worked out great! There was plenty of room for everyone (5 bedrooms/3 bathrooms) to spread out and no one felt cramped. It was also nice to have separate bedrooms for the kids so they could go to bed while the adults stayed up and visited. We did have to rent two cars (minivan & PT Cruiser), but that worked out well too. My youngest niece is 3.5 and after a few hours in the parks she'd had enough. My BIL really isn't a park person so he'd take her back to the house for a swim and a nap and he could just hang out and relax. We also really liked the we could have breakfast/coffee in every morning.
