We are thinking of stopping in Williamsburg on our way from NY to HH. We have enough points to use this year. Any recommendations on where we should try to use our points? I hope to try to call MS tomorrow to see whatis available!

I own at Kings Creek Plantation. The resort is very nice - the 1BR units can be a bit snug - but the 2 BR units are great. They are affiliated with RCI.

Wyndham Kingsgate is very nice, recently refurbished and in an excellent location for sightseeing in Colonial Williamsburg. Lots of people like Greensprings and Kings Creek too. At all three, the larger the unit the better, 2BR and up is preferable due to some smallish 1BRs. In RCI, these would probably be my top 3 picks.

I agree King's Creek is very nice and we recently stayed at Kingsgate Wyndham. Loved the two bedroom.

The only location I've heard is not great is Powhattan Plantation. I understand it needs remodeling.

If you go and like great barbeque try to search out Pierce's. It's near Great Wolf Lodge and has the best barbeque. Also, the Cheese Shop in Colonial Williamsburg has wonderful sandwiches.

We stayed at the Powhatan Plantation last June and they were literally gutting units and completely rebuilding them so they may be done with all or a large portion of them by now. We stayed in a unit that was definitely 'tired' looking but perfectly liveable. The resort itself is very pretty and the pool area was nice. Lots of geese roaming the property. About 10 minutes from Colonial Williamsburg and 15-20 minutes from Busch Gardens and Water Country USA.
