My son and his GF are in Colorado this week. They will be at Colorado Springs on Sunday. They made no reservations. Is there and suggestains as to where they should or should not stay?
They want either a hotel or camp site. I though about going on priceline for them tonight.

Any ideas?

Thanks NH Ann

The Broadmore looks great. It may be a little to $$$ for them though.

Thanks Tigger

We will be in Colorado Springs in 2 weeks. DH went on Priceline and got a room at the LeBaron Hotel for around $50. Now if you are a DVC member, you could use your points at the Broadmoor.

I am a dvc member. Does the Broadmore use points by the week or the day. They will arrive in Colorado Springs today. How far in advance do I need to make ressies with Disney? I just found out they were doing this trip a couple of days before they left. I offered to give them a room at Disney, tickets and meal vouchers we have left but my son said it was to far away.

The Broadmoor is by the day, not week, for DVC points. However, MS is closed on weekends, so using your points for tonight isn't going to be an option.

Since I can't suggest a hotel location based on what your son is planning on doing, I'll just suggest they stay away from motels on Platte and Nevada Avenues.

The LeBaron (as mentioned above) is right next to a freeway exit. It's just across the freeway and railroad tracks from our downtown area. I'd suggest getting a room facing west rather than east to avoid any possible noise problems (due to exit, freeway, trains).

Colorado Springs has a LOT of tourism. There are tons of hotels. However, this is the busy season, so I'd recommend they find a hotel earlier, rather than later, in the day.

I found the lebaron for and whyndam for about $60 a night. Now son is not answering the cell phone. I wish them luck.

We were very happy at the Embassy Suites in Colorado Springs a couple years ago. Its right off the freeway and only a couple minutes from a couple of the attractions we visited; Garden of the Gods and Focus on the Family.
