We are just about to book our vacation in December (3 - 13/2008) at WDW. This is our first trip. This vacation will be for DH and myself. We Will be celebrating our 20th anniversary. We have narrowed it down to either the CSR or PFQ/POR. We probably won't be spending much time in our rooms or at the resort but we may want to use a pool/hot tub/exercise room at the end of the day. We are looking for fun and romance while exploring the World.

All suggestions appreciated!

POR! Like staying deluxe at a moderate price - I can't cheerlead enough about that place.:thumbsup2 Quite romantic too - that river just oozes romance.

Still 4 weeks shy of my first trip- but wanted say an early Grats on your 20th

I am interested to hear what others have to say, I am trying to decide which moderate to choose also, Congrats on your anniversary!!!!!!:jumping1: party:

We stayed at POFQ last May (me, DW, DD-3.5) and it was very nice - small, quiet, with good bus service, the boat to DTD ...

But a word of warning: the Pop Warner cheerleaders and Football players will be in town that week in December and apparently use POR/POFQ ... EEK!

I've heard mixed stories about what the resorts are like when the Pop warner crews are in town ... so, to be on the safe side (and treat ourselves ...) we'll be staying at AKL ... :dance3:

My understanding is what makes CSR stick out is the fact it has a health club and whirlpool. The other moderates do not. It is part of the reason I decided I wanted that one for my next trip.

Both resorts are nice, but my family prefers CSR. If you like a southern theme the PFQ/POR is nice, the "mansions" are very pretty, and the PFQ has a lot of iron and narrow lanes to feel like the french qaurter, but CSR is just so beautiful. Especially at night when the fountains are lit up.
And you really cant beat the pool at CSR. The hot tub is huge! The walk ways around the lake are very pretty at night, for a romantic stroll.
Check out Buzz' website, the photos should convince you!
My vote is for CSR.
