I have a friend that is doing a land/sea vacation. They could not air out on the day they return from their cruise so they booked an early morning flight the next day. They already have transportation through cruise. I know there is a hotle right in the airport but not sure what it is. Is there a pool there for the kids? Would they be better staying out of the airport and if so where? If they stay in WDW or in the port then they will not be able to use cruise transportation, right?

The hotel connected to the airport and used by DCL is they Hyatt. It is relatively expensive. When we need a room for the night before or the night after, we use Priceline. We usually get a 3* room for about $35. All of the 3*s have free shuttles to/from MCO.

The DCL busses run to WDW and MCO. So, if they don't stay in one of those areas, they can't use the bus. However, the bus costs about $30 per person each way. A private limo (which picks you up when/where you say and takes you wherever you want to go) costs about $90-100. There are some coupons on the internet for a discount. Renting a car at the port for one day costs about $40...of course, then you pay for gas and tolls.

The car rental places have free shuttles to/from the port.

So, your friends could take DCL bus to the airport and stay at a hotel near the airport (but not necessarily the Hyatt). Or they could use other transportation and stay anywhere they wanted to.

Thanks! So they would go back to the airport with cruise tranportation and then take the resort shuttle if staying out of the airport?
