Where to stay -family of 5-Take a look at my choices

Hmm....some things to consider that may help make up your mind...

How much difference in price between renting points and staying at the Poly? If it's significantly less one way or the other than I'd choose the less expensive option (obviosly lol).

The bedding situation if renting points....you'll need the extra air mattress or if your youngest is on the smaller side they can make a makeshift bed out of the couch cushions:scratchin You will need to bring either blankets or a sleeping bag though.

mousekeeping....does not getting daily mousekeeping bother you? You'll get Trash-n-towel service on day 4 of a stay when renting points (or a full cleaning on day 4 and T-n-T on day 8...if you'll be there more than 7 nights). So you won't get daily maid service. For some people this is no big deal...for others, they don't like this. Just something to consider.

Cancellation policies....renting points is a GREAT deal most times and usually goes without a hitch and is a win/win for the renter and rentee....are you one of those people who would be nervous about a private transaction though? If so, that alone may be worth going with the Poly. DVC/Disney will not get involved with point rentals whatsoever so be sure to be comfortable with who you rent from if you go this route. Again, if you're comfortable...it is a Great deal most times...but it's one more thing to throw into the mix if you're having a hard time deciding:scratchin

FWIW, if you're comfortable renting the points I'd go that route for the extra space and ammenities of DVC...the Poly is a beautiful resort but is still just a hotel room compared to a Villa. The DVC villa will give you the kitchen, living room, jacuzzi tub, king bed, in room laundry....just doesn't compare but.....it's all in what you're comfortable with....sometimes peice of mind wins out if renting pts would make you nervous.

Best of luck and let us know what you finally decide;)
