Where to stay during the holidays?

Where would you recommend staying the first week of December this year? We would love to be at BLT, but I am figuring they are probably 100% booked for 2-bedrooms at the 7-month window (this Saturday).

Which other resort do you think would be best for a family with a 3 year old and a 10 month old during the holidays?

For this December? Anywhere you can still find a vacancy. I hope you booked at your home resort at 11 months out so you'll at least have something if BLT or anything else you want isn't available.

Really? We plan on going 12/1-12/12....I was thinking I could at least get a 2-bedroom at OKW or SSR if necessary. That first week is usually not as busy as the actual holiday times.

WLV is beacutuful at XMAS but I highly doublt you will find availability at 7 months for Dec. BWV & BCV are decorated nicely for XMAS. The short walt to EPCOT is great!

The first two weeks of December are two of the busiest weeks of the year for DVC. Not so much for the rest of WDW. Other than Pop Warner.

my guess where to stay if you havent booked would be ssr. They dont fill up as fast as others. We usually book our dec trip around the 7 month time and ask for okw but where ever we ask for we usually book what ever is available and be put on wait list for the resorts we want. We usually go on wait list for okw or akl. We have usually gotten into okw. Last year we got into okw 2 weeks before we were to come down.

I'd pick (in order)

BLT
VWL (both for proximity to MK)
VAKL (looks like this is a home for you, I'd call now and book it) - animals are great.
BCV
BWV
SSR
OKW

I don't think the chances of BLT, VWL, BCV or BWV being available at seven months is very high. AKL is higher. OKW a little higher than that. SSR is likely to have availability.

Because DVC is still delcaring BLT inventory, you might get lucky and get a BLT waitlist come through when the next declaration hits. It couldn't hurt to try...good luck!

Could you go ahead and call to maybe get something at your home resort in the morning....then waitlist for what you want on Saturday. At least you would have a reservation somewhere (maybe), right??

My vote would be VWL. Love the warm feeling, especially at Christmas.
