So my wife and I have a chance to get away on our own (no Kids) for a long weekend at the end of July and think we need to get some Disney fix and go to Disneyland for 4 days. We would get there on July 30 and leave very early on August 3rd. The problem we are having is where to stay as we want to keep this low cost and we are way to late to use our DVC so the options are and we would like to be within walking distance:
Hilton Anaheim
Clarion Hotel
Tropicana
Camelot
Red Lion
We just want a nice comfortable place to sleep as most of out time will be in the parks or DTD for sure. We are open to other options as well but trying to keep it at $1,500 for flight and hotel and those places fall within that budget. Don't feel bad for the kids as they get 6 night at Aulani and the 10 day Wonder cruise to Vancouver in September.
Thank you
Michael

We might stay again if it was the cheapest price of the places we check. The Hilton is our regular haunt, mostly because we get Hilton points. It's a bit farther away then the others, but still walk-able. We love their beds and the Starbuck's in the lobby. Their breakfast buffet is great if you can get it as part of your room. It's a bit pricey by itself. We really like the lounge in the lobby. They have their own conventions there, so sometimes the lobby can be crowded if they have something going on.
