Where to stay 1 hour outside Disney? IS Daytona Beach a good option?

We are looking into a Holiday Inn Express in Daytona Beach for a possible overnight. We want to get fairly close to the World as possible.

We expect to get to Daytona Beach about 9:00. Would you over night here are drive through to Disney and stay at a Value Resort for one night?

We are driving down December 18th from North Carolina, leaving around noon.
