Where to sleep in Sep. 2013 off-site for a week?

The plan for September 2013 is to spend 4 (or 5) nights in a Disney on-site resort, 3 (or 4) nights on-site in the Universal Studios and 6 (or 7) nights off-site for visiting parks like Sea World, Wet'n'Wild and so on.

We are 2 adults looking for a nice, clean but rather cheap hotel in Orlando.
A room with 2 queen beds would be the best.
It should not be a motel-like hotel like the All Star Resorts are.

Need some advices, I feel a little lost

Have you looked at Bonnet Creek? They have a 1BR condo and they also have a shuttle to Disney Parks. It would give you a full kitchen so you would be able to cook some meals. With being gone for so many nights, eating out will get old quick

If it were just me and my husband, I would stay at Residence Inn Lake Buena Vista. I have stayed there and Bonnett Creek. I would go with the Residence Inn...it will very likely be cheaper than renting from an owner at Bonnett Creek and there is daily maid service. I do love Bonnett Creek, but it's a place I will book again when I need to stay with a larger group. The Residence Inn also has a kitchen, so you can prepare some meals at home. They also feature an AWESOME breakfast every morning with tons of options.
