10 to a dozen folks "across" in each section.

"Best" seats are ROW ONE.

Soarin' is in Epcot. INSIDE "The Land" pavilion.
Downstairs.
Just follow the TEAMING MASSES yearning to "Soar" free.

SOAR FREE, as free as the wind blows
As free as the GRASS GROWS...

Oh well. Have fun.

Sorin' is located in the lower level of the "Land" Building in Epcot's Future World. Yes, you will be seated in the same row because each of the three rows holds about eight people. The CMs will place you in Row A, Row B, or Row C. It's really a neat experience, and you will ...

Enjoy.

The best seats are in row 1 of the center section. If you get row 1 it the outer sections the seats toward the center are better, the outer ones can be a little disorienting. The problem with the second & third rows is that you see the feet of the people in the rows that are ahead of you since they raise above you while the ride is in operation. It really bothers some people but I just imagine that I am hang gliding with someone who is floating above me. It's in the Living with the Land pavilion. The center section is the best overall.

I 100% agree you want Row 1...did it in Row 1 and then Row 2 or 3 and really enjoyed the "clear" view without feet Row 1 offered~enjoy!!

 You will definitely want the first row and it seats probably 10 across. It is a great ride so be sure to ride it more than once because you will see things that you didn't see the first time.

Have a great time! princess:

B1 has the best seats in the house...

I have rode Soarin probably a dozen or more times and never got row 1 until 2 weeks ago.

The difference between Row 1 and the other rows is amazing. The experience is much better in Row 1. However, if you can't get it, don't despair! I went on it a dozen times and loved it before I knew any better!

I've only been in the third row and never thought of asking to be somewhere else. Can you request front row?

no very easily.

depends - I have a problem with heights - so seeing someone else feet helps ground me....

I won't want to be on row 1 .....

Row 1 section B definately! We requested that, had to wait a few extra minutes, and was totally worth the wait!

UNFORTUNATELY, UNLESS YOU WANT TO WAIT FOREVER, YOU DON'T REALLY GET TO PICK WHERE YOU SIT....YES, THE THREE OF YOU CAN SIT IN A ROW TOGETHER...IT'S A LONG LINE OF SEATS(LIKE SWINGS) IN THREE ROWS...THE BEST ROW IS THE TOP SINCE YOU DON'T SEE OTHER PEOPLE'S FEET HANGING IN FRONT OF YOU(NEVER BEEN ON THE TOP AND HAVE SEEN OTHER'S FEET...DIDN'T BOTHER ME!)....SOARIN IS IN THE LAND PAVILION ON THE BOTTOM FLOOR...TAKE THE ESCALATOR OR THE STAIRS DOWN....IT'S A RIDE NOT TO BE MISSED NO MATTER WHERE YOU ARE SITTING! ENJOY!

Take of your shoes and socks and put them in the storage area under your seat .... it feels soooo cool to have your bare feet dangling in the wind !!! :cloud9:

If you will only have one chance to ride Soarin, then hold out for row 1 if you can. I have been on rows 1 and 2 and there just is no comparison and it even is not so much the peoples feet handing in front of you. In row 1, you have the entire screen open in front of you especially above you with no spacial blocking. That's very important on Soarin as you experience the feeling of free flight. I did not feel that which section(a,b,c) really mattered, but the row(1,2,3) DEFINITELY mattered.
They que you up similiar to Space Mountain or Tower of Terror. They load you into each section with row 1 first and you stand on a dot on the floor. Once section "a" is full, they move to section "b" and row 1, 2,3; once "b" is full it's on to section "c". You then watch a short video and then the doors open(one door for each section) and rows one load first, and so on. The last people to load will be the last persons in row 3 in each of the three sections. I did see people who were destined to be in row 3 of section a, pull themselves out of line and wait for the que to section b to load and step back in line to make sure they got into row 1. A little advance planning is in order.

we sat in row 1 oh my it was awsome!!!! funny...... i never thought about other peoples feet dangling infront of us if we were in other rows..... we had great seats!!! and we didnt have to wait for row 1 we got it just by chance..... vicki

yes you can. Just tell the cast member when you get to the front of the line that you'd like to wait for row one. They'll just put you with the next group of people. (FYI- I've done this with only other person and the wait was less than 2 minutes. It may take longer if you have a bigger party)

Row one IS simply the best. Seeing rows of feet in front of you ruins the illusion.

All are great, First row is best though.

I guess nothing beats the "power of suggestion".

There is no WIND to reach your feet on Soarin'.

The wind is blown only onto your FACE and ARMS by a system of fans mounted in that "visor" section that pivots and closes down just above your head right before you "lift off".
This is also where they "pipe in" the various SCENTS that you can smell during the show.

And speaking of, er, SCENTS...
What if everyone DID remove their shoes and socks before each "flight".

eeeeeeeeuuuuuuuuuuuwwwwwwwwwww!

AND... think of all the "athelete's foot" fungus and other "disease critters" that could be transfered from bare foot to bare foot on that small section of floor where you (and thousands upon thousands of others) sit and wait for lift-off.

Nope! That's one "tip" everyone should kindly IGNORE.

:rotfl:

I highly recommend sitting in the front center, if at all possible. With that view, you have no dangling feet in front of you as you are becoming involved with the scenes. :thumbsup2
