I need some help from water park veterans. Where is a good location to sit for the day? We will be going to both TL and BB. Kids are 8 and 6.

We went to TL last year and sat on the left side of the wave pool. Very crowded, but good to keep an eye on the kids in the wave pool. We have no experience with BB. I would prefer something as quiet as possible but accessable to many areas. We will be arriving before the 10:00am opening so we should be able to get whatever location is best.

Sugggestions for either park or both??

I am not a water park vetran but I think this is a good question. I'll bump it to see if someone else can answer.

For me, one of the nicest places to relax in BB is off the main crosswalk on the right side of the wave pool. It gives a cool view of the pool, and it has some of the shadier spots. To find it, just cross the bridge from the Towel and locker rental place and it will be across the walkway a bit to your left, next to a little hut which serves as I believe the motor or maintenance shack for the ski lift.

Another place that seems quite nice, though sometimes a bit crowded, is on the left hand side of the park about one quarter around, which has a great view of Tobaggan Racers which is fun to watch, since people come down in the most entertaining ways. Not as much shade there, but it is better located to things like a bathroom, the lazy river (Cross Country Creek) and a short hop from the wave pool.

Like TL, BB has seating all around the wave pool as well. It also has a large play area for children with seating if that is your desire, since you said you had kids.

PS: The quietest part of the park IMO is in an area that is just off of the main path (to the right). You get there by going over that same entrance bridge and to the right of that same ski lift shack I mentioned earlier. It has a bathroom, convenient to the kid's area, though a bit further to the main portion of slides and the wave pool.

BB is a whole lot larger or designed to seem that way than TL is, so one of the best methods of transportation is Cross Country Creek if you don't mind getting a little wet on the way. It's fun, cooler, and less actual walking on the hot pavement. Water Wallets are a good idea here.

One other tip. BB has lockers in a couple of places, not just in the front, but they are large lockers in the other locations. The good news is that you can put stuff into them there, rather than having to walk all the way out to the "hub". If you stay on the left, you can get lockers at the bathroom next to Tobaggon Racers. I believe there is also a locker at the other bathroom (the one I mentioned in my last post) as well, but not sure, as I've never used that one. The locker rental place can show you on the map which lockers there are.

Sorry to be so long winded, BB and TL were a favorite when we had AP's...

ShadowWind, you have a lot of great tips for BB!! We're going to TL this year - do you have any suggestions for a nice spot to sit & relax there as well? I'll probably just sit out for most of the day so I'd like a fairly quiet spot (shade is nice, but not too important) The rest of the family will join me whenever they want food LOL!

I agree, right is quieter - in both parks.

We do both parks and go right.

BB - we go right, turn left by the bathrooms (w/lockers), follow around to the right of the "Ski Patrol Training Area" for the younger/preteen set and there is a small "dead end" of lounges, about 4 picnic tables with cover. They back up to the lazy river. You can't get in river there, but you can wave as they pass by. Our younger kids are close to play area, a short walk to skylift and close to bathrooms. Their kiddie land is a different section, but just over a bridge from here, so if your kids want to play there a short time it is close by.

TL - we go right and follow the path to just before the tunnel path under the "mountain". Several picnic tables with covers and very private. Wedges you by lazy river again. Just over the bridge to the right is shark reef, just across way to left is wave pool, through the mountain to other side slides. Very convenient and this side is very very lush & peaceful as opposed to the left where their kiddie land is very very busy.

We go with lots of family and we all started out taking big coolers with everything, but the food is truly reasonable - I guess competing with coolers. Now we take smaller cooler full of drinks, bag full of snacks and buy our lunch and ice cream. Everybody, adults included, love the kids meal - pretzel grill cheese sandwhich served in a bucket. Good deal ! With lots of us in different directions we have found these spots perfectly located, quiet, private and some covered !

Heading down soon :bounce: :Pinkbounc
