Where to shop for jewelry--B&M stores?

I bought this ring for my daughter at Amazon.

As cute as it looks online, now that it has been delivered, I hate it. It's much too big for her hand. I've decided that I need to see a ring in person before I buy it. I know where to go to buy an expensive ring and I know where to go to buy a super cheap ring (like Claire's). But I want something with a little gem stone, in gold or silver, in the $30-$60 range. I find many acceptable items on line (Amazon, Buy.com, Overstock) but I don't know where to go to find jewelry of this category that I can see with my own eyes before I buy it.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

Kohls? JCPenny? JCPenny had nice things on line but you could go to the store and look at them first to see if you like it.

I just ordered a ring from QVC, it was customer rated so I hope its as good as everyone says it is. I can return it til I think January 31st

I don't have a Boscov's near me but I do have Kohl's. I will look there, thank you for the suggestion.

I usually rely on customer ratings when I make online purchases, too, but when it comes to jewelry, it is more a matter of personal preference and photos online doesn't quite convey what the item looks like on a person.

Does QVC show the jewelry worn by an actual person on their website? That might help. Although I am shopping for my daughter who is more petite than a model.

for many of them (not all of them) they do have a video you could click on and it is from when they aired it.

That is what I was going to suggest. On QVC they often have a picture, or even better a video, that shows better proportions.

Some rings when you see them look so pretty then I you see the video and realize it is half their finger! Great if that is what you are looking for, but not so much if not.

I love QVC's Tacori diamonique line. I just bought myself a 3 "diamond" ring to celebrate 3 years of quit smoking/drinking That was self congratulatory and off topic, but I wanted the OP to know that the ring I rec'd was exactly what it looked like in the photo and video, and everyone who has seen it has complimented how lovely it looks.

And the nice thing is they have a lifetime replacement policy if the stone gets damaged.
