I have a ton of records, mostly popular singers, and from the 40's. How (other than ebay) could I look into selling these? I want the most money I can get since I get to keep any money I make on these.

Try Craigslisting them.
I would list them in "bulk" with a price that is reasonable to you. Certain number of them for a certain price OR if some are worth more, individually. Be sure to list accurate descriptions on the conditions though.
Many people collect them and I have sold some in past.

Some people actually use them for crafts too (you can mold them into retro looking bowls or put clock mechanics into them and make clocks.) I have done both and they are very cool looking in the appropriate setting, namely a music room ;) We have also framed some of our fav's.
Good Luck. You might consider looking on ebay for some pricing idea's......:wizard:

im not really near any of the cities for criegslist. I did use ebay to get a gereral idea of worth. Im sitting on $500 of records according to ebay.

Do you have any record shops in the area? In my town, there are at least 2 record shops(non chain) that will buy old lps. They give $2 per album. But if you know something is rare/has value, you can haggle for a better price.
