Where to see the fireworks outside of the park?

I'm going to Disneyland end of February. I can only go to the park during the week, and unfortunately now they only do the fireworks on the weekend. Is there anywhere like California Grill in DW where you can see the fireworks and they pipe in the sound from outside the park?

The most commonly mentioned public access areas are the Esplanade and the Mickey & Friends Parking Structure. They do not pipe in the music to either location. You won't be able to see the castle or the low level effects, but you can see the higher up bursts. You can also see the fireworks from other areas (e.g., DTD or along Harbor Blvd).

I've read that they do pipe in the music to the Paradise Pier Hotel Pool, but I'm not sure if that area is restricted to hotel guests.

The Paradise Pool area on the thridr floor is open to the public, and is the best choice, as it is elevated and the music is piped in.

The next best is the Mickey and Friends structure (side view).

If you are staying at HoJo's, sitting in the Hot Tub facing the park is a great option. Sit, relax and enjoy a beverage while watching them.

If you don't have to have the music, you can eat at certain restaurants in DtD, e.g. upper balcony at Catal or at the Jazz Kitchen, and watch the fireworks from there, too, while enjoying a nice meal.

This is what I'd do-- I'd watch from the Esplanade. I have a Disneyland CD that has the music for the RDCT fireworks on it, so I'd put that on my phone and bring along a bluetooth speaker and pipe my own music in. I'd guess that if you press play when you can hear the cheer go up from when they put the lights out, you'd be pretty well in sync.

I checked with Paradise Pier and they said you need a key to get to third floor pool deck. (The bar is only open seasonally). I guess that is out unless someone has tried it recently? No fireworks on the days we will be in the parks either. It's our favorite fireworks show so really wanted to see it (and hear it)

Warning about Mickey and Friends, the car alarms will go off when the fireworks start and it can be annoying.
