We went to the 1900 Park Fare dinner in 2003 and it was great! Our DS was 11 1/2, but we saw many younger....even down to the toddler age...there and they seemed to be having a great time. You will find Fairy Godmother in the lobby, where she stayed during our visit, Cinderella, Prince Charming, the 2 cute mice, Suzy and Perla, are inside and rotate among the diners. We stayed for about 1 - 1 1/2 hours and each stopped at our table at least twice. Of all the character dining we have done we thought this was one of the most pleasant...characters seemed to stay longer and actually visit. I was on a quest to get Cinderella story books signed for my two great-nieces and when the characters found out, they were overly kind about signing them...Fairy Godmother even put a kiss in the older one's book.
As for food, it was quite good. IMO it was a bit more "adult" than Chef Mickey's for example...seafood, pasta bar, prime rib, and chilled strawberry soup that was heavenly...ate it for the soup course and dessert. They did have the usual children's fare...nuggets, pb&j, mac and cheese, etc. so the little ones had plenty to choose from...remember they can eat off of both the children's and the adult's buffet.
I recommend a PS here if seeing Cindy is a must on your list and you cannot get the PS at CRT. Check out allearsnet for the menu.
