Where to purchase 1 ticket? Disney or ut?

Only need 1 ticket. Would you buy from Disney or undercover tourist? Disney=part of package so fully refundable/able to be modified until day of check in .

UT= saves $23.40 to purchase but also would “cost” $25.16 if I *did* happen to need to return it if something happened

I've also been curious about other places to purchase park tickets cheaper than the gate price. I know Sam's Club & AAA has discounted tickets for members. Like the parks, the more days you go visit the cheaper the tickets become.

Is the comparison vis a vis with the Disney direct option? I mean, would Disney let you cancel/return for a small cost in case something happened?

These are two separate issues.
You must decide if you want to save money or if you want “insurance” in case you cancel.
Also, be aware that if you link an UT ticket to your MDX account, that ticket is no longer returnable.

I assume you're staying at Disney and it seems that you understand your options. I'd choose to buy the cheaper UT ticket, understanding that if I do cancel my trip, I won't get all my money back. However, I wouldn't return the ticket in that case. I'd use its cost as a credit toward buying my next WDW ticket, figuring that I'll eventually go to WDW again.

You're right!
It's a pay now for sure, or a maybe pay later if I had to cancel.
I'm within 30 days and my flights have changed/ been canceled 4x so I'm hoping I'm past that. Had to change the dates of the trip too already.

I've contacted them today and two customer service reps told me that mailed tickets, even after linked to mde are 95% refundable.
Maybe this is something new?

Hmmm. If that is true, then why would it be any different for UT eTickets?

Regardless,
if you want to save the bucks, buy the discounted tickets.
If you're more worried that you will need to cancel, buy Disney package tickets.

I think this way too. Paying now is "for sure". Paying later IF you need to cancel is a maybe. Unless you're very unsure, opt for saving now.

Bought from undercover tourist !
They were so fast with the ticket to link
