This trip, we are unfortunately renting a mini van to go to wdw. I say unfortunate because we have always used either a town car, or Magical express which i love to use.

We are only renting a van because there are 6 of us, 2 adults, 4 kids aged 16,15,14,& 11. We fly into orlando on sat april 28 at 230 pm, get the van, go to wdw. The next day,we are driving to port canaveral for the cruise. After the cruise, we have tickets to kennedy space center, which is the whole reason we are renting the van, otherwise we would have paid to have the cruise bus take us there and back, but since we are going to ksc right after, we have to have a way there and back to the resort with all our luggage.

I have been debating on whether or not to after ksc, either drive to the airport, return the van, then take ME to wdw and back a few days later, or keep the van, drive to wdw, then take the van back to airport sat when we leave to go home.

my real question is, where do i go to pick up at dollar rent a car, where are the cars located at, and then how hard is it to return it and get on the plane? also, is it hard to drive from airport to wdw and back??

i am bringing my gps in my car so that should help, but do i need to know anything about the drive to wdw and port canaveral??

I find renting a car at MCO is very easy. We have used Dollar most of the time. After you get off the plane, follow the signs for baggage claim, go down the escalators, get your bags, then head down the elevator to the ground floor. Once you check in with Dollar, you car will be across the road in the parking garage. Try not to stress, it is pretty easy :)

And if you can drive to Port Canaveral, then KSC, using the road signs and your GPS, you can easily drive to Disney after KSC. Drive west on the Beach Line (Rt 528) past the airport until you get to I-4, then west on I-4 and follow the signs to Walt Disney World.

Dollar is very easy to use (and they usually gave great rates). Dropping off has been quick & easy for us. As soon as you exit the rental return area you cross the street and you are at the airport.
