Hello - my DW and DD and I are including my parents on our upcoming trip. They are healthy but older and have minor knee/leg issues that slow them down. We are doing ECVs so they can keep up with us and so they don't have any issues. They can walk to and from the rides/attractions. My question is this: Where do they "park" them while they ride? Do they go where stroller parking is? Somewhere else?

TIA

they can take them in the lines with them and a CM will park in while on the ride.

If they do not want to take the EVCs through the attraction lines, there may be ECV/WC parking nearby, but if not, park along with the stroller parking.

There are LOTS of lines that don't allow ECVs.
Peter Pan
Enchanted Tales w/Belle
(I have heard they have discontinued allowing them in the line for) Ariel's ride...the name currently escapes me.
Buzz Lightyear
Space Mtn
People Mover
Astro Orbiter
Pirates of the Caribbean
I know I have missed others but it is late and I am tired.

Almost all the time, the CM stationed outside each attraction will tell you if the ECV can come through the queue and if not, where to park it. If they don't, try to flag down the nearest CM and ask.

Keep in mind there are twist and turns in rides queues that they will have to maneuver through to get to the ride. It's not a straight shot. It's not that hard, but you need to be careful to keep your distance from the one before you while getting through the line. Once you reach the ride area there's a place you have to park the scooter. On some rides the CM will move the scooters to the end of the ride if the the ride is not a complete loop. There are times you may be asked to keep your key with the scooter if they have to move it to the end of the line. There is a manual override the CM can use to walk the scooter manually, but many CMs would prefer to ride the scooter over; hence, you leave the key. Otherwise, take the key with you at all times.

In many instances a scooter is treated as a handicap vehicle with regards to shows, parades, and fireworks. You will be allowed in a special area where the wheelchairs go. Keep in mind you need to show up early to get these special viewing spots. I would say normally you would have to show up an hour ahead of time to get the special viewing spot for a parade or fireworks.

You may at times want to park the scooter for your parents for them. It will be easier and less walking for them if you did it for them.
