Preferably I would like to keep it at $1 a pin because she is only 2. But she really wants some. I showed her some on ebay & her face lit up & she kept on repeating I would love a necklace with clips!

I am afraid if I do one of those blind buy it now on ebay she wouldn't get the ones she wants like belle, daisy, minnie, ariel with a dress, castle, chip & dale, and so on.

Or does it really matter because she will be trading them, I guess. SOrry we are new to this. So will she just look for those on CM's?

Thank you for any advice!

I bought a lot of pins from ebay last year for my daughter's first trading experience. It worked out great! If I can figure out how to look that far back in my purchasing history, I'll message you the seller.

I just ordered a lot of 75 pins for $50 on ebay. I haven't received them yet (I just did it on Tuesday) but will let you know what they are like when I get them. THe page PROMISED that there were no junky knock offs in there.

The first two times we went I didn't pre order, I would just buy the cheapest pack of trading pins I could find at the stores & then trade with them. At two, I would go cheap & let her trade with the cast members wearing green lanyards -- they will only trade with kids. I found the CMs to be so sweet when it came to trading with DD - even sort of nudging her away from the "junky" ones that others had traded with earlier in the day. on 2nd trip, DD was more into it, so we made one side of her lanyard a NO TRADE zone -- she put the pins that she loved over there, then the other side was an OK to trade side. this way she could also show off the special pins she had purchased without accidentally trading them.

There is a list of good and bad eBay sellers in the Collector's Forum.

I order mine from funmamas she is supposedly a cast member in disney california.
her pins are usually doubles so you can keep one and trade one.

I find the list of seller's very outdated. Some of the sellers even come up as "No such username" when you search for them on E-bay.

Is there any way to find an updated list?

I always buy on ebay. You will get a good varity and then shes going to trade for her favorites. My girls love doing it this way. We keep all the one they traded for and buy more for the next trip. :)

Have a magical time.

We always buy from EBAY. We go to WDW every year and now instead of buying souvenirs, all the kids want to do is pin trade. I love it!!
You can tell if it is a good seller by the feed back. I read many pages of comments before I bid. We buy from different sellers because we want a variety of pins. Sometimes with the same seller, you increase your chances of getting duplicates. Even though you plan to trade them, it is still nice to get different pins.
Read the ebay ad and make sure that it says "no duplicates" unless you don't care. Also if it is a lot of let's say 10 or 20pins and you want 2 lots, sometimes you will get duplicates. I like the sellers that you can pick your own lot. Sometimes they may throw in an extra pin.
Happy pin trading.

I have a ? On the bad seller list is dopeyspin I think the name was and on Ebay they have over 2000 positive and comments of pins being authentic and like 8 or so nasty comments about them being junk. How is that possible they are junk? Are there 2000 people out there that clueless? I was considering buying but then saw that on here and stopped myself....I don't know what to do...Honestly I don't want to spend 50 to 100 bucks for a set of pins but I don't want to get complete garbage for my kids either....Any ebay sellers that sell in LOTS that are good and not crazy mad cash?!?!?! :confused3

I purchased my lanyards on ebay and am about to buy my pins too. I don't like to buy everything at once bc I want to make sure I don't overspend. Anyway, I had seen someone post about using funmamas (i think), and when i did a search on lanyards, the ones I actually liked most were from funmamas. I stumbled across it by mistake. I wasn't looking for any specific seller. They really worked with me to get me what I wanted. They ahipped fast too. I think it was 5 days, and that included a weekend. The lanyards are straight from Disney with the detachable endpiece and clear pouch for KTTW cards and such. Really high quality. I would buy my pins from that seller too. My.experience was great.

I always buy my pins on ebay before a trip to WDW. Many times when you buy a "lot" of pins there will be some that you want to keep and some that a great for trading. Some of the pins that you get on ebay are "scrappers" which are knock-offs. If you can find a "lot" of pins for $1 a pin that is the best deal. Pin trading has brought lots of joy to our WDW experiences over the years. Enjoy!

I bought locking pinbacks from disneypatriot on ebay and was very satisfied.
