Where to hold my garage sale?

We just moved into a new house and have some things we can't use/don't have room for. So we're having another garage sale (had a big one before we moved).

Our new house's garage is not attached to the house. It's directly BEHIND the house, and not really very visible from the street. But it's HUGE and just perfect for setting up all of our garage sale items.

My fear is that no one will come because they can't do a "drive-by" -- you know, check it out from the street and then decide whether or not to stop in. I'm wondering if we should move the sale to the front of the house. I have a big covered porch, or we could just use the driveway and/or front yard?

Advice please!

Is there any way that you could set it up in the back garage but also have stuff up front? If not, then I would move it to the front.

You know what? That's a great idea! We can put the girls' books and cookies sale up front, and keep the real stuff in the back.

I'd put as much as you can in front, as people will keep driving if they don't don't see something that interests them. We had all our sale items right on the driveway (mostly on tables) and we made sure to set up a "home base" table with a tent so we could escape the sun. The tent came in so handy, as we had our sale on 90+ degree spring days. Good luck!
