We won't be staying at POLY but will go to Ohana for an early dinner (ADR 3:50pm). If we get there early, what can we do at POLY to kill our time?? I know we are not allowed to go to the pool and I don't want to go to the beach because of what happened recently.. TIA!

Trader Sam's is an option not sure if you want to get drinks before an early dinner though. Besides that there is a little sitting area upstairs. You can also check out the art gallery in the lobby.

If the weather's nice, you could also stroll around the resort to check out the longhouses and foliage. It's a beautiful resort!

At that hour, there really isn't a lot to do at the resort if you don't want to go onto the beach (which now is fenced). You can't go into the pool area, Trader Sam's doesn't open until 4:00 pm. All there really is are the shops and walking around looking outside. I guess you could get a dole whip at the pineapple lanai, but it might be too much right before a big dinner.

Unfortunately the Poly no longer has an arcade. That is what I would recommend otherwise.

At that hour maybe not much to do other than walk around the grounds. They do have a nice gift shop you can look around also.

We stayed at Poly back in 2002 on our honeymoon. Maybe I will track down the spots where we took pictures and take a picture now with my kids. :lovestruc

You could stroll along the pathways with nice views of MK, shop, enjoy the lobby, they have great old pics of the resort off lobby near Capt Cooks, upstairs there's a nice sitting area with big picture windows near Ohana, and bar. Get a LapuLapu. More shops upstairs!

I sit in the downstairs lobby and people watch. If you are super early you can monorail around to the other hotels. The art gallery closed awhile back and I don't think it reopened there but I might be wrong.

Why not take a stroll to The Grand Floridian and have a look around, it's a short pleasant walk. If there are no weddings taking place at the Wedding Pavilion have a look around there too. There's a lovely photo opportunity with Cinderella's castle in the background. Depending on how much time you have you could take the resort boat to MK but stay on until you dock at The Grand Floridian and then walk back.

They do have a little hula dancing lesson on most days in the entrance of the lobby, I think its around 3pm....maybe 3;30? I can't remember, but we did it with our little ones and it was really cute.

OH- the POLY has tons of Hidden Mickeys in the lobby areas, that's a good way to pass some time. The Hidden Mickey books are on Amazon for maybe under 10 bucks, that's always a fun activity.
