Hi,
we are shortly heading out to Orlando for five weeks (hate to sound smug but.....) and am looking for ideas for places to take my three year old daughter when we are not in the theme parks. We are staying near the LBV area and she loves swing parks/playgrounds. I see there is a petting farm advertised a lot, has anybody been there? Any help would be much appreciated.:)

Have a look thru this page for ideas.

DS used to love playing in the fountain at Celebration.
Tri-Circle D is good for an hour or so looking at the animals, pony rides for little ones details in link above.
When Geocaching we came across a park not far from LBV, picnic area with swings/slides etc but its a couple of years since we were there so no idea if its still there now http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?hl=en&ie=UTF8&ll=28.431393,-81.531225&spn=0.002731,0.005659&t=h&z=18
Try this link, its about 10 min drive from LBV. Its the road under Penny Lane Drive with the green canopies.

5 weeks would be great, we do almost 4 weeks every August and its never enough.

We had a day at bok tower when DD was 23 months. We enjoyed it and she could have a bit of freedom as it was quiet.

Chip and dales campfire singalong at Ft wilderness is free and DD enjoyed it on our last trip when she was 3. I think there are pony rides there in the daytime aswell.

Thanks very much, these are excellent tips. Does anyone know if there are any "softplay" places anywhere. If I could find a ball swamp then I am sure I could bribe my daughter to leave the parks in the afternoon when it is getting too hot.

Sorry no idea on the indoor play centres.

They do seem to have play areas attached to fast food places - I think you can search for nearest playplace mc donalds. I know the chick fil a by the florida mall had a slide and play area. There are play areas in the malls aswell.

If you venture further to Anna maria island (which we love) there was a fabulous play park on the side of the beach near the rod and reel pier - it was perfect for our 3 year old.
