What are the best resorts for food choices other than BCV or BWV? We will not have a car with us and will be relying on the disney transportation. Thanks.

Try Swan and Dolphin. There is quite a selection of restaurants in close proximity. Any of the resorts with food courts will also be a pretty good bet, including the counter service restaurants at places like Wilderness Lodge. A lot of people also like Trails End at Fort Wilderness. All of these are reachable using Disney Transportation.

SSR- an easy walk to DTD. Also, if you want to eat at another resort you can catch that resort's bus at DTD as well.

Google Menus around the world and you will get the menus at all the disney resorts and parks. It will give you prices and everything offered. I found this helpful in planning. We loved the ESPN club btw when we were at the Boardwalk in March.

Most of the restaurants at the Swan and Dolphin give a 20% discount to DVC members. woo hoo

We also like the Yacht Club Galley. Of course, ESPN, too.

Thanks everyone, I have enjoyed checking out all the info you have given me.

Other then BWV, or BCV, whuch have the whole BW area and S/D, plus Epcot and MGM within walking distance, I think the monorail resorts have the most variety. Did you just mean DVC resorts? At OKW and SSR you have good access to Downtown Disney. VWL requires use of the boat or bus, but you can still get there.

It's probably best to plan your meals around the parks you will be visiting. That way, you don't have a long hike to get to dinner. For example, if you are planning an evening in Epcot, make your adr's for somewhere in that park; planning MK, eat there or at a monorail resort, which would give easy access. Enjoy!

I definately would take a trip to AKL and try Boma for their Buffet. It is wonderful and gives you a great sampling of all types of different foods. The resort itself is wonderful to see as well. A nice evening out.

I would then try VWL and the Whispering Canyon Cafe if you have kids with you. It is a really fun atmosphere and the big kids and the little kids all get into the action.

I don't even know anything about the restaurant but I think it is Chicos (sp??) in the Grand Floridian. It is overlooking the lake and MK. I would choose a time to eat there for a special occasion that coincides with Wishes at MK. What a great view!

Of course Downtown Disney is always fun with a great selection.
