Where to get some good breakfast?

Did you go to Tangaroa prior to their refurb last year and new menu? We had breakfast there with the new menu last fall and really enjoyed the new tropical inspired menu options. I agree that it was unimpressive in the past so we almost didn't go there but I was intrigued by the thick and fluffy Japanese pancakes on the menu and was not disappointed.

I’ve always loved Tangaroa Terrace, but now I’m a big fan of the Açaí Chia breakfast bowl.

People only have to cancel up to one day in advance so sometimes you can get reservations the day before - but I have found that while years ago reservations were easy to come by a few weeks or even days out, the last few years I make mine as early as I can. And since it's easy to cancel I make way more reservations than I ever end up using due to that. I think because it's so busy that people over reserve and then cancel when their plans firm up.
