Where to get ready on the big day!??

Ladies! I need your help... How/Where do you usually get ready on the big day?
I have no idea what my sleeping arrangements are for my May wedding but I concerned about where I am gonna get ready. I'd love to share a room with my girls but I dont know if this is an option yet... will they let us book a room specifically for that? How have you done it?

as in rent a room for the morning/afternoon of (depending on ceremony time?)? i'm sure if you want to pay, they'll do anything!!:laughing:

seriously though, do you mean if there is a space to get ready? the brides vestibule at the WP is nice, but its not a "getting ready" space and is just for hiding in until its your turn!

i checked into our honeymoon suite the night before. now i am old, and i just had one attendant, but i was thinking the whole time that i would have her spend the night, like a girls thing, especially since we had a 6am make up time. but i really started feeling overwhelmed by all the people and our reakneck pace, so i ended up staying alone that night, and chilling way out.that was a very good idea for me
 
My MOH and I just booked a standard room for the night before, and then got ready there the morning of. We asked for a late check out time and got it, which gave us plenty of time to relax most of morning and then begin to get ready.
 
I stayed in a 1 bedroom villa, I am so glad we changed our reservation and had all that extra space for getting ready. I am not sure how we would have managed in a standard room.

Saying that its very difficult to go back to a "normal" room now!
 

We are renting a 1 bedroom villa. I will kick DF out either the night before (if MOH gets her way) or the morning of (if the groom gets his way) and my 4 bridesmaids will come over and get ready in the Villa with me. My Mom is also considering renting a Grand Villa, so that could be an option as well.

If you are staying/getting married at a resort with conference facilities, I believe you can check with your planner on conference room availability. I don't think you have to pay (but that is just me vaguely remembering a post from someone awhile ago - so don't take my word for it).
 
the villas sounds like a good idea except i am staying at caribbean beach the night before... so i dont think they have villas..... maybe if i get 2 connecting rooms that might give us more space.. thanks for the ideas ladies!
 
Me and Df will be spending the night before the wedding together in our room at the GF. The morning of the wedding he is leaving to go play golf with the guys, and then he will be getting ready in my sister and BIL's room at the Poly, while I get ready with the girls in my parents room at the GF. I don't want anyone getting ready in our room because I am a clean freak and I know having all the girls in my room getting ready would result in me being late for the ceremony because I would be cleaning the room before we left :rotfl:.

Is your DF getting ready in your room at the CB? And where is your ceremony? You could always get a room at the GF to get ready in and then stay there with DF that night (you could use your free night for that).

:rotfl: thats funny! well...our ceremony is at the Wedding Pavillion on a Friday. My original plan was to get a room at the GF for myself and the girls from Thurs night and just get ready together the day of. My DF and I will not be staying in the same room he'll be at CB along with our families. I dont know though i dont know why this is complicated lol
 
We were staying in the Main Buiding at the GF so I requested one of the turret rooms and was lucky enough to get it. We had plenty of space for me and my girls to get ready, there were six of us getting ready.

Although DH was no way going to stay somewhere else while I was living it up at the Grand, lol. So that morning I met the girls for brunch and DH went to lunch with his guys. The girls got ready in my room. We had arranged for a conference room at the convention center, so after lunch the guys got ready there. There is no charge if there are rooms available, but you won't know until 2 weeks before if there are any, so it can be a risk. We mainly got it just in case we didn't get the turret room because then we wouldn't have had enough space.
 
i just had my planning session today. The plan was for my parents to get a suite at GF for two nights. I would stay there the first night and then have everyone get ready there (there will be about 17 people in the room--me, 5 bridesmaids, 2 flower girls, 2 moms, 3 grandmothers, 2 photographers, and 4-5 hair stylists). But then seeing how expensive it was, our planner suggested we rent a larger conference room. The fee is a $500 food minimum, but we figured that would be cheaper than a suite.
