Where to Fish?

My DH wants to go to the Ocean and fish duuring our Disney trip. He would be looking for the closest beach with a fishing pier. Anyone have any information? Many thanks!

Cocoa Beach has the nearest fishing pier, he'll need to buy a Florida saltwater license.

The owner of our MC is an avid fisherman, he recommends a guided fishing service out of Cocoa Beach (about an hour east of Orlando) here's the link:

With a "local" expert guide you're almost guaranteed to catch a ton of fish, there's just too much knowledge of where to fish, what baits, where they are currently, etc, that you're not going to know (but they will). There's also different kinds of fish biting at different times of year / seasons...check out the website it kind of tells you what kinds of fish you can go after during different times of the year.

He just caught this little "minnow" on their guided boat...a 28 pound black drum fish (caught and released in case you're wondering!)...

If hes okay with lakes instead, about 19 miles N of Disney is Lake Apopka.. HUUUUUGE lake! Its almost in my backyard lol.. Really nice lake though for fishing
