Where to find jeans for a super skinny girl?

I'm going to go the total opposite, but it's the retail in me. Try moving out of kids and into petites. She'd probably be a size 0 or 2. With jrs, the legs will be too long. But seeing that Levi's makes the same styles in both Jrs and petites, you might get lucky going that way.

Plus it's the time of year that there's tons of stuff on clearance. If she wants cropped go into Boys. A Boy's size 8 is like a 23 inch waist.

My sister found it easier to wear mens jeans so she could buy both inseam and waist.

I think this is what we'll have to do with DD. She HATES skinny jeans and wants a bit more room in the thighs even though her waist is tiny. If I find jeans that'll fit her waist, she won't wear them b/c they're too tight in the thighs. If they're loose in the thighs, they don't stay up unless her belt is cinched all the way in. I wish they sold girl's jeans by measurement like boy's jeans, maybe it'd make the search easier for us moms.

Thanks for all of the great help-I knew you guys would pull through!:thumbsup2

I will try Aero, Hollister and Pacsun, hoping for a sale. Unfortunately with her long legs she no longer fits into 14slims and for whatever reason, everywhere that sells a 16slim thinks that they all would have filled out by the time they move up to that size.

If your daughter has long legs, try Delia's online. They start at 00, but the inseams go all the way up to 37".

I doubt petite clothes will fit. Although they're petite, they're still women sizes, which means they're cut bigger than junior sizes, and they're going to be too big at size 0 or 2. Trust me, I know. I'm 5 feet tall and weigh 95 lbs. In petite pants, I'm a 00, but I usually still have to make sure I wear a belt.

More like where can you not find jeans for skinny young things. When I shop for jeans that is all they have. Can you belive how many size "0"'s they have. When I was young I wore a size 5 and that was considered way small back then.

When you get to larger womans sizes there are almost no choices. :confused3

So true...they really are pushing the younger kids to dress like the older kids and I think that's why. When I was a size 3 or 5 there was nothing out there! I had to shop in the girl's dept and back then little girls dressed more like little girls and not teens so I was hard pressed to finds pants that fit well. A lot of the older girls around here are getting away from Aerospostale due to all the elementary age kids shopping there.

.
Yes, Delia's did also fit in addition to AE 00 and Abercrombie before she got taller. Try there.:)

Delia's, American Eagle (wait for a sale, order 00long), Aero, or try Macy's American Rag (wait for a sale). Or try petite's, size 0 or so.
