Don't use JoeDiverAmerica! They were awful......put a hold on my credit card, said everything shipped. Never shipped anything. Said I didn't have the right address for my card and then cancelled the order. Oh please! I think I know my address. Excuses excuses. They were A-W-F-U-L!!!!! Can you tell they make my blood boil?? Reordered from another place. Just wonderful..very quick. I'll look for the name of the company.

There is a walmart near the port that has gear.
I wanted to get some for the kids. They out grew their fins.

Our Walmarts in the northeast laugh when you call them. It looks like all the online sport stores use a similar web service (or suplier). I tried to order two pairs of fins for the kids and they all gave me the same reply. (only 1 pair could be orderd.)

Hubby got his gear at Sharper Image. It is more pricey but also a lot better built...with as much as we cruise, he wanted something good. So if anyone wants to get some gear that they plan to reuse, SI is a good place.

I order all the time from Diver's Direct. Thye are good to work with, and they send the stuff ASAP. I would recommend them.

A local dive shop explained that high quality masks are made from tempered glass and silicone. The cheap ones are all plastic. The masks at the dive shop were $50.00 and up.

At Decathlon, I found a number a reasonably priced plastic sets for about $20.00.

I decided to go with a tempered glass and silicone set that I found at Sports Athority for $39.00. I tested the mask at the indoor and the silicone seals really well and is comportable because the strap does not need to be so tight.
