Where to find BEST rates for timeshare resort rentals???

We're planning a trip for February vacation week, and I'm curious as to where
to find the best rates for a few timeshare resorts. We're considering HGVC, Marriott
Cypress Harbour, Marriott Horizons and Sheraton's Vistana Villages. We have only stayed on site at Disney (BWV during last trip), but we plan on going to Universal and Sea World only this trip. Also, as far as location which is best?? are any of these resorts nicer than another?? We will need a 2 bdrm. Also our boys are 15 and 12. Thanks for any help!!!

AWD, the best rates I've found were thru hotelkingdom.com. We have ressies for a 2br at Vistana Village for just $119 a nite - this is substantially lower than the rate we would have gotten if we had just booked straight thru the resort. If you want more info on V.V. go to www.vistanainc.com and use the link in the dropdown menu to take you to the V.V. website. Sorry, I don't know much about your other choices but seems like all the feedback I've read on them was positive. You could do a search on each one to pull up old posts - I know there are several on here about Vistana Village. Hope this helps.

We used hotelkingdom.com last Feb. and got into Star Island Resort for 7 days for under $50.00 a night! Very nice place and the "presentation" went well - no hard sell.

eBay's a pretty good source also--I along with several others reguarly sell Marriott weeks. There is a specific category under Travel for Timeshare Rentals. You can also go to www.tug2.net and check out the classified ads (that's the timeshare users group).

I would also include Marriott's Grande Vista in your list. I think it and Cypress Harbour are the nicest. Horizons has a nice pool but landscape is not developed yet.

I rented a 3 bedroom villa at Sunterra Cypress Pointe for Presidents week 2002 thru www.skyauction.com I won the bidding war for this property for a total of $510 for the 7 night stay. 2 bedroom usually go for $300 total or less.

try www.vacationsonly.com we used them this past May for Vistana Resorts. the prices they quote are negotiable. Owners place ads on there - you go through vacationsonly to rent from the owner. You get a contract and everything. We got a 7 night - 2 BR/2 BA in the Cascades section for $850.00. It was great. The place was great. It was truly the prettiest place I had ever stayed in.

We stayed at HGVC in February, 2001. If you are going to Sea World, this is the best location you can get. You could literally walk to the park. The best way to get a good price on a rental at HGVC is to sit through the timeshare presentation. Go through their website at HGVC.com.

I just got a deal for next august 2002. We are staying at the sheraton safari for $199. 4 nights 5 days and 2 disney passes. This sounds pretty good right!! If anyone wants the phone number, let me know and I will give you the number.

Frommer's recently listed a great deal on www.eleisurelink.com. A one bedroom timeshare unit for 3 nights is only $159. It is near Celebration and still under construction. It looks like about half of the units have been completed.

Look under "Vacation Packages" at eleisurelink.com. They seem to have good deals on condos elsewhere and Frommers says they have a good reputation.

Here's another one to add to the list.. www.resortrip.com I believe that it is associated with RCI and they are selling un-traded excess weeks. Looks to be pretty decent deals, especially on last minute trips.
