Hi - we are going to Disney 10/7. We are staying off site and renting a car. We will be celebrating 3 b-days that weekend. Looking for a suggestion where to eat dinner the 1st night we arrive. Ideally it would be a place that we can park the car (for free??) have access to the monorail and be kid friendly. Something like Ohano. However, I can't go there b/c of nut and seafood allergies.

Thanks for your help!

I assume you mean 11/7, since 10/7 is already passed.

There are three resorts on the monorail; Contemporary, Poly (where Ohana is), and GF.

If you have dining reservations, you will be allowed to park in the resort parking lot for three hours.

Disney is very good with all kinds of allergies. I also have severe seafood allergies. In addition, my mom was put on a gluten-free diet about three months before we went and she was shocked how accomodating they are. Each time, I made my dining reservations, I made sure I told them up front about my mom's need to have a gluten-free meal.

That being said, if indeed you are going next month, you need to realize that a lot of promotions have been extended and many people have already made dining reservations that are staying on-site 90 days out - you may see things significantly booked - you should make a decision soon or you may be at the mercy of what is left.

Allergies are not a reason to stay away from any Disney restaurant. Disney is absolutely amazing. Simply tell them when you book your reservation what type of allergy is in your party. When you arrive they will notify the chef who will personally come out to your table and discuss what your options are. If the location is a buffet, they will walk you to the buffet and tell you what items you could/could not have and if you do not like the choices, they will always make something specific for you even desserts

thank you for responding so quickly. I will try the Contemporary and the GF and mention my allergies when I call. Hopefully we can get reservations.

And yes, I did mean 11/7 not 10/7.

Just be aware that if you do not have an adr they may stop you from entering and self-parking(this usually happens at peak times, but just a head's up). It is to discourage people who want to avoid the parking fee for the parks by parking at a resort. They give you a 3 hour parking pass once you check in at the guard station.
