Hi first post. Decided today to bring our trip to Disneyland forward to Christmas yippee!! I know it's going to be mega busy but I don't mind. Where do you recommend we eat Xmas eve / Christmas day 2 adults and a 5 yr old boy. Thanks folks x

Hello and welcome to the disboards! You can find the best information on the Christmas superthread. Sherry is a moderator here, and has composed a fabulous thread with all things involving Christmas including dinner ideas. I don't know how to link from my cell phone, but I'm sure someone will post the link soon for you. Once the season gets closer disney will release more information, but if you want to go extravagant i think the disneyland hotel offers a fun Christmas dinner. Take a look through the thread to find last years special food offerings.

Thank you so much, planningjollyholiday, for the referral! :)

:welcome: Welcome to the forums! I'm so glad you joined us.

For some strange reason that continues to baffle me, actual printed, published information on complete Christmas Eve and Day offerings at Disneyland Resort seems to be scarce. I have no idea why. Every year I hope that the Disney Parks Blog will post an article with detailed Christmas dining info for Disneyland Resort, just as they do for Thanksgiving. They do a Christmas food post for Walt Disney World, but they always skip Disneyland.

Nonetheless, based on leads from other members of this forum who have been to DLR on Christmas Eve/Day, and also the few bits of info I could scrounge up online, I have a few listings in this holiday food/dining-specific post (which is part of the Christmas/Holiday Season Superthread that planningjollyholiday mentioned)- http://www.disboards.com/threads/di...iting-details-for-2015.3358217/#post-52730328

Look under the Christmas Eve/Day Dining category in that post (ignore any weird punctuation issues you may find -- that was a result of the recent switch of this site to a new hosting platform, which knocked a lot of things out of whack). Even if the info is not specific to 2015, if you look at the menus and info from the previous years it will give you a good sense of which restaurants have special meals, and what they involve, the basic prices (which I am sure will be higher this year), etc.

If you are staying at the DLH I'd eat Christmas Eve at Steakhouse 55. The Christmas buffet that the hotel does is too crowded. Maybe look at Napa Rose.

On Christmas Day the park will be packed and if you leave, you may not be able to get back in. Others may remember what time the park closed (temporarily) in 2014. It reopens as guests leave, but you need to be aware it is possible. That being said...... Napa Rose on Christmas Day.
