Where to eat dinner on a MK parade/wishes night?

I really wanted Chef Mickey for our MK night outing but can't get it so now I'm thinking of eating somewhere in MK. We are doing CP for a breakfast, not sure I want to do a dinner there too. And of course it has to be something I can get with only a month till our trip. :rolleyes1 I have a 7:20pm Tony's booked as of now (parade is at 9pm) but we've never eaten there before and DH wasn't too impressed with the menu. Should we try it or is there another place I should try to get???

We had 8 pm res when we went recently at Tony's. I thought the food was good (could have used a glass of wine to accompany it). We were fortunate to sit in the front room where we could see the parade while we were dining. The one problem is that until the parade was over we were basically stuck in that corner since the streets were full. Once it was over half the crowd was leaving, but we were staying for EMH so going up stream was difficult.

If you are planning on eating, watching the parade and fire works, then leaving Tonys would be fine. But if you plan on eating and trying to get to the rides that is a challenge.

How about right outside the park at one of the resorts? If you book it early enough you will have plenty of time to eat and take a quick monorail ride (or walk) over the MK before the parade starts.

Tony's is horrible for dinner in my opinion - rather eat at the Wave or one of the restaraunts at the GF.

We liked Tony's last year and plan on eating there again. It can be a hassle to leave the park and then come back. You could also do a CS at MK. There are some good places there.

How about Liberty Tree Tavern? Even though it's a set menu served family style, I think it's much better than Tony's. However, if you don't mind leaving the park for a bit, I would much rather eat at the resorts near by. O'Hanas is great (although that may be harder to get than Chef Mickey) or even Kona Cafe is good at the Polynesian. The Wave is good at the CR but I don't care for their desserts. Any place at the GF is good also.

I would also have to say eat at one of the monorail resorts. The food is so much better than anything in the MK. Then you can just hop on the monorail and be back for the parade.

The food is better at Kona and the ambiance is nicer at GFC, but they're basically good recommendations, much better than staying in the MK for dinner.

thanks. just looked up menus on all ears and DH & I would probably prefer GF where the kids meal for Kona is more appealing for our kids. I think I'm going to go in favor of the adults on this one, LOL!

they're both REALLY good. if i HAD to choose, i'd say grand floridian cafe, but check the menus and see what your tastes are.

my reasoning is just because i have a tree nut allergy and there's lots at kona with almonds and macadamia nuts. they accommodate me... and it's always great... but it's easier for me to eat at gfc. i just dont want you to think kona is bad. they're breakfast is my favorite.

The Plaza!

They just have sandwiches but they are very good. They also have the best ice cream sundaes.

i'm doing liberty tree tavern on my MK parade/fireworks night. I think this is the 2ed most look forward to meal out of my ADR's (my first is CRT for the breakfast.)
