It depends on whether you are in a park or resort. We have been to wdw the last 6 xmas weeks and have always chosen not to do a park(especially MK) on xmas day. We have had late breakfast(after opening gifts in the am) at 1900PF(and visit the gingerbread house) then go to DTD, see a movie, play mini-golf, shop and then go to resort for xmas dinner. We have had great xmas dinner meals at Artist Point, CG, Yachtsman and Boma. If you really want to eat at MK(or go to MK) you must expect NOT to be able to park hop as MK has closed to all guests including resort by 10am. It does flutuate later in the day, but you can only enter if enough of the crowds exit...they will not make an exception even if you have an adr in the park. Its just too crazy for us in any park that day. We have gone to epcot on xmas eve and done CP with diner in Japan and that was very nice way to get in the holiday spirit. During that week, make your adr right at 180 days to get your choice for the holiday. We are returning this year also...not sure yet what we will do for xmas dinner...this past year we ate at Il Mulino in Swan that night and it was wonderful(it is not on DDP).

IF you choose to do a park( particularly MK) Make sure you get to the park early in the day and plan on staying there till your dining time.IF the Mk closes for capacity, and it always does on Christmas Day, (sometimes several times), you may not be allowed in even for dining. Now granted there are phases of closing and guests with adrs are pretty much admitted till a PHASE 4.At PHASE 4 no one gets in, and the MK tends to hit Phase 4 on Christmas at some point
