Hi all,

Since we are doing a shorter trip this time, we had to choose between Hollywood Studios and Animal Kingdom , since we want to do the river ride, I chose AK. My question is the only place we would want to eat in the park is Rainforest (which is completely booked - which surprises me as I have never seen it completely booked before). I have a narcroosees ressie that night, but i'm thinking of switching it to something closer to AK. Would it make more sense to eat in Disney Springs (and switch narcoosees to another night) and then take the bus to AK? (we are not renting a car and use Disney transportation for our trips).

Thanks, Marina

What about joining Landry's select? From my understanding you get priority seating with the membership and jump the line at rainforest cafe without a reservation?

You might also want to try booking through opentable.com. Does the menu at Jiko's appeal to you? Their food is excellent and just a short bus trip to AK. Unless you're using a cab or a ride sharing service, I think using the Disney bus at Disney Springs might eat up a lot of your time.

Call RFC at AK direct and see if they have any reservations open instead of trying to book through Disney.

Also, as previously suggested, you can always join Landry's Select Club and get a table that way without a reservation.

Rule of thumb - never make a reservation through WDW for a Landry's restaurant! (Yak & Yeti, Rainforest or TRex). Either call the restaurant directly (they will have more availability) or, as PP suggested, get a Landry's Select Card. It's $25 but that $25 goes toward your bill plus you get a $25 birthday reward (your "birthday" can be any month you choose). You simply show the card when you check-in at the restaurant and you get priority seating over guests with reservations.

Here is the info to call the restaurant: http://www.rainforestcafe.com/locations.asp?st=fl

If you want to eat somewhere else, I would pick something in Disney Springs over Narcoosee's. Narcoosee's can take a really long time (3 hours in our case - it was slow and not good).

We are opting for Sanaa on our AK day and from my research we have made a great choice so I'm excited. Looks like a very short distance there as its located in Animal Kingdom Lodge. Got my reservation for an hour after park closing to be safe.

Hop over to AKL (Kidani) and have a delicious meal at Sanaa. Don't forget to order their naan bread service!!
