Where to buy need info for BIL and SIL

BIL and SIL are thinking about buying in.


Have to decide quickly. VWL pts are almost gone.

Would you buy 250 pts at VB or 150 at VWL and 100 at VB?

April use year.

They only go to WDW every other year.

We have shared our love of VB with them and they truly love it.

What are your thoughts?

The latter personally. Now the question is what is the correct mix for them. Maybe it is 150 VWL and 100 at VB or maybe 150 at VB and 100 VWL. Play with the points tables and make sure you know what the best mix is. Good luck.

We always travel in October and feel that if we had a different home resort we still wouldn't have trouble booking at VB.

We have told them this so they are leaning toward the 150 VWL/100 VB combo.

Anyone have opinions on what combo is best?

Let's say they own at VWL with the 150 and have 100 at VB. They would not go to VWL every year and think it would be fairly easy to book at VB at the 7th month.

Does this sound correct?

Does anyone think 250 at VB is a good idea?

If it's fairly easy to book Vero Beach at seven months out, why not get all points at VWL? They'll have lower maintenance fees, plus if they ever change their mind about going to WDW more than every other year (and maybe even during peak DVC times) they'll have that 11-month window at an on-site resort.

Our kids have used our poinits to book VB at the 7 month window a couple of times and had no problems. This was the 2nd week of October.
I would vote for an on site resort as the primary home. We have majority of our points at OKW and some at HH. I thought our kids would need the 11 month window at HH. As it turns out we have been members for 5 years and they have only gone to HH once and that was in April. But as I said they like VB in October.
