Where to buy Disney cars diecast toys?

I am looking online and it seems the prices are totally crazy!! I saw a Chick Hicks for $40!

Does anyone know where I can get some without paying an arm and a leg??

I have checked my Target and Walmart but they don't carry hardly any and never get in new shipments.

I tried calling WDW mail order but she said they don't ship them out, so I am not sure if that is accurate or not.

Any help please.

They have been selling them in the theme parks - but you don't find the rare ones there.

The kiosk by the Tomorrowland Speedway in the MK usually has a good selection. I have also seen them at Mouse Gear in Epcot.

I'm surprised the WDW Merchandise said they wouldn't ship them. They must be tired of all the calls they get asking for the hard to find Cars vehicles. They can't tell you which vehicles are at a specific location, but if you request a specific one, they should be able to tell you if they have it.

Your Target, Walmart & ToysRUs don't have any because the ebay sellers get there when they open and buy the 'good' cars out. I have found a couple once in a while at my Walmart but only because they have stocked during the day. My grandson is 2 so he could car less which cars he has. For now!!!

You can go to Hasbro's website and see if you can find out what retail stores carry them. I think an Auto Store was carrying them at one time.

I too am surprised that Disney won't ship. Their shipping costs are outrageous anyway. You'd most likely be spending more for shipping than the cars.

Try Disneyland. They have an 800 number listed in the numbers post above.
You will have to ask for specific cars so know which ones you want.

Which cars are you looking for? I might be able to help you out. You can also try KB Toys if they are in your area.

WDW mail order said they couldn't tell what specific cars they had. She described it to me as it may show in their system that they have 1000 cars but they could be a variety of anything, she said they don't put a specific item number in their system.

I thought it was weird too.

My son really wants Chick Hicks, Dinoco Chick, DJ, Snotrod, Nitroade and Dirt Track McQueen. There are some others I know he will probably want to. He loves the movie but these few above are all he talks about right now.

Went to Target today. They did have the Boost & Snot Rod 2 car set. If you want that one I can try and go back on my way to work and get it. Other than that they had nothing from your list and none of the new ones I was looking for. Would really like to find RPM for Sunday as that is my nephew's birthday but I'm not driving all over the state @ $3+ dollars a gallon of gas!

I really think the only one that should be hard to find right now is the Dinoco Chick Hicks and maybe Dirt Track Mcqueen. I've seen the others several times at Wal-Mart and Target.

Does anyone know if they have released all the new ones yet? Or do they release a few at a time? DS collects these and was very excited to find there were new ones coming out.

Wow, I almost forgot to check back with this thread.

My hubby found DJ and Nitroade and Dirt Track McQueen at Toys R US. We did see the Snot Rod / Boost combo but since my son already has Boost we opted not to get it in hopes that we will find an Individual Snot Rod.

We had a hard time finding these too, but eventually, we found all of them at Toys R Us. Of course, we also got the track that these can race on and crash, so half of them are destroyed now, but my son doesn't care about how rare they are.

My toys r us and targets always have stuff in stock. I could have picked up multiples of Guido and Lugi with the Ferrari garb. I'd be willing to see if I can help you find something. Just PM me.

My son too. He is 6 and just loves the movie and wants to act out the movie with the toys that he has while the movie is playing.

We had all but Chick Hicks, and I finally broke down and bought him on ebay for my son. It was reasonable (around $10) so I wasn't too upset.
I check the cars from time to time at both Walmart and Target, but it's hard to find some of these.

We were at the MK today. We had spent the past three days trying to find some of the Cars vehicles my DS needed for his collection.

We were able to pick up Red Ramon, Tex Dinoco and RPM #64. The CM who was working had to go backstage to find them. He told us that he had spoken to someone from Pixar who was touring WDW and he said that eventually they will be releasing over 200 different vehicles from Cars.

Start saving your $$$!!

OVER 200!! Can't think of that many characters (and variations there of) in the movie! Oh well I'm only collecting one of each character not all the variations. I'm also staying away from all the Toy Story, Monsters etc. ones. Hopefully that only leaves me another dozen or so that could be made.

I had the same thought, too. However, when you think about all the cars that were on the highway, at the races, etc. there probably were 200. Ramon and McQueen have the most variations thus far.

The CM who helped my daughter find the Cars we were looking for also told her they never know what vehicles they are receiving in each shipment. She gave him the list we had and went through the boxes until he found the vehicles we were looking for.

I can't ever seem to find them locally. Someone must get to Target, Wal-Mart, Toys R Us, etc. as soon as the shipments come in.

200?!?!?! NOOOOoooooo I can't afford 200 I didn;t know there were new ones and I happened to be at Wal Mart today when they were stocking them so I got Ferrari a Red Ramone a Lightning with bugs in his teeth snot rod alone and Blue Chick Hicks... of course my 4 year old REALLY wanted the snow plow and Tex... I told him eventually we'll find them we haven't missed anyone yet our wal mart has a huge end of these little cars but mostly they are the ones we have had a long time (the ones I went nuts trying to find as Christmas presents lol)
is there somewhere to find a list of what is out now?

Not sure where to post this, as this is sort of news. With all the issues Fisher Price and Mattel are having over lead paint from toys made in China, they just announced that the "Sarge" character has now been added. Strange that only one character is affected, but just FYI. For those who aren't giving these cars to their kids to play, it shouldn't be a big deal I guess.
