Where to buy affordable scented candles? Favorite fall/winter scents?

Paula Deen has a line of candles at Walmart now & they smell really good. They come in a couple different sizes & are all named/smell like some of her favorite recipes (& include the recipe too). I currently have the Pumpkin Roll Cake & Strawberry Shortcake--they were $5 for an 8 ounce size.

I bought some of those as well. The strawberry shortcake smells delicious!!! Her candles have an awesome scent

I saw the Paula Deen at Wal-Mart, OMG they smelled soooooooooooo good. I have some Yankee's around, mostly given to me as gifts and I have some from Bath & Body (Slatkin brand) that I love as well but I usually purchase the Wal-Mart Home Trends brand myself. They smell really good!! Right now I have my fall scents "out" on the shelf I keep my candles on, the others are "put away" in my other cabinet where they look good but aren't used. When people ask what kind of candles I like I always ask for the Home Trends scents.

I've used the Glade candles before. You can usually find coupons for them also. In recent weeks, there have been coupons for $1.50 off two. This week Rite Aid has them on sale for 2/$5, making it $3.50 then you get an UpReward for $1 off your next purchase. I know they have seasonal scents but I have yet to check them out.

Me too! Bought some new glade candles last week, on sale with a coupon & then a coupon back for next purchase, they cam to 2 candles for $3.00. I am currently burning a cinnamon pear scent & I love it.

I love YC, but I find many of their scents to be a bit overpowering. They sometimes give me a headache. I just finished one, I think it was cranberry mandarin. I usually burn candles in my kitchen so I prefer food type scents over perfumy, or florals most of the time.

I like the Glade candles and Yankee and the Simply Home at Kohls but SURPRISE SURPRISE I bought a candle last year from Walmart and love it. It is has 3 wicks and is in a short round glass container. The label comes off the front so I don't have the name but I think it may be just the Walmart brand. I like Mulled Cider and Vanilla the best. They smell so good and burn very clean (no black around the glass) They also burn completely down which I like. Also they are $3

I usually only burn my electric tart burn but I do use these candles in the fall.

I also love those three wick candles from Walmart. I didn't expect much for $3, but the Apple Cider and Fresh Apple scents are really strong and smell great.

So saddened to see that no one has mentioned Gold Canyon! I have sold Gold Canyon for about 5 years and we guarantee our candles will not tunnel and will hold their scent throughout the life of the candle. The largest burns for about 200 hours and is $17.98. That's more wax and cheaper with longer burn time than any other brand!

Love Bath and Body Works Sweet Cinnamon Pumpkin I think is what it's called. Yummy and now I am running out tomorrow to get some of the 2 for $20 ones.

My very favorite ones are from Yankee Candle, BUT...

I've had good luck with the little Glade ones, I think they have a good strong scent, and like someone else posted, I've also been very impressed with the Mainstay's candles from Walmart. The big jars are like $5 or something, and I've been quite happy with them.

gotta agree with what others have said -- and I'm kind of a candle snob (or was). Walmart.

Yesterday, I lit two Garden Rain candles I picked up at Walmart for something like $3 a pop -- one upstairs and one downstairs. The entire house held the smell for hours.

Hazelnut Cream from Mainstays is wonderful! It makes my apartment smell like a coffee shop. I often get candles from Kohl's too and they're usually pretty good.

My current fave is one from Febreze, the Cinnamon Sugar & Home scent. Smells SO good, and the Febreze candles last a really long time. I also tried a new Airwick Scent Ribbons one in my bedrrom yesterday, the Vanilla & Soft Velvet one. Weird name, but smells really rich and good.

I like some of the Kohl's candles (similar in size to the Yankee candles). When they are on sale and I have a 30% coupon I stock up.
