Where to book one night on either end of VB vacation?

I need to book a night on both sides of my 6 night Vero Beach vacation in Feb. We are arriving at MCO late afternoon the first night and leaving MCO early on the way home. I have points to use so should I book a Disney resort? Can you do the interval exchange thing for only 1 night? Any other ideas?

If you have points that are going to go to waste if you don't use them then I'd say book a DVC resort. If you can use those points another time (either now or through banking them) I'd book something for cash.

Actually, I would probably book a Hotwire room for each of those nights. The first night (arrival) I'd book something in the Cocoa Beach/Melbourne area. That way you could get almost to Vero Beach and make the shorter drive the next morning. On the last night (departure) I'd book something near the airport so you'll be close for your early flight out.

If you do have to use up those points I'd book an extra night at Vero for the first night. Then I'd book something at WDW for the last night to be closer to MCO for that early flight out.

Personally I would bank your points if you could and just get a hotel room. DVC rooms are somewhat expensive and not sure if you really get to do anything at WDW and you are just adding more travel time. Perhaps staying in Cocoa Beach. We stayed an Hampton Inn on the way down to Vero this spring and saw the Kennedy Space Center.
