Where to add Extra points

We are adding extra points. My question is would you choose BWV or BCV and why? By the way, our home resort is VWL which we could get on a waiting list for which is another option although we are leaning against that one. Any opinions would be welcome. Thanks

IMHO, these two resorts are very comparable as far as amenities, location and rooms sizes. It pretty much comes down to SAB at BCV or the standard view (less points) and Grand Villa options at BWV. Pick the feature(s) that most appeals to you. Good luck!

FWIW, I believe the ability to add on at BWV through Disney (if even available for your use year) is very limited. If you are in a hurry for add on points, BCV will be quickest. My understanding is that BCV is expected to sell out very soon, though. Don't wait too long to make your decision if you want to go through Disney.

We were going to add-on at BCV but decided not to.

We own at VWL and Vero.

BWV sold out for our use year before we could add-on there.

We have decided to wait for SSR while being on the waitlist for 50 pts each at VWL and Vero.

I would add on at BWV if you still can or stay on the waitlist for more VWL pts. We decided that SAB just isn't important to us. Maybe we will stay there once or twice.

Variables include how many points you own and how many you are adding. If you own 150 and want to add 25, I'd stay with the same resort. If you add at another resort make sure that you add enough points to do what you want at the 11 month window at least with banking and borrowing. Decide what you want then try to get it, even if it means resale or a wait list. Don't settie just because it's available right now. Good luck.

I agree with what Dean said.

If you are going to do a small amount, then I would stay with your home resort.

I think we got caught up in adding on at BCV just because it was available when VWL and Vero would have to waitlist.

How does the wait list work? I have the same delimia. We own 170 at WLV and want 50 more points. We want all our points to be at the same place, to avoid confusion. So to do this we would have to wait list? (BTW my very fav resort is BCV, but our guide conviced us to buy at VWL instead of waiting for BCV, I really wish she hadn't. I would rather own at BCV, but we don't.) Does anyone have any idea how long the wait list is and the chances of getting what you want?

If you own at 2 differnt resorts it seems you would forfit your 11 month window advantage. We only want to add 50 more points, so owning 50 at BCV won't help us a bit.
