Where should we stay

We are DVC for three years and have stayed at AKL, SSR (THV), VGF, VGC, PLY, BLT, AUL.

Since we have recently added direct, next year we will be getting an AP and staying multiple times. This coming February, we will be doing a multigen 4 night trip at AKL in GV. Then in November we will be staying at Fort Wilderness Lodge in a camper for a week.

My question is: we are planning a 4-5 night stay in May of next year, and wondering which resort we should stay at that we haven't been to. Most resorts are available at this point. We are a family of 5 and usually stay in 1 bdrm Villas.

Thanks for reading and for your info.

The only ones you have left at WDW are BRV, CCV, BCV, BWV and OKW. Of those, only OKW has the fifth sleeping place (a pull-out chair in the living room) in a 1BR and it is significantly larger than any of those other three. For that reason I would choose OKW, unless I was going to stay at BLT or AKV Kidani, which are the best 1BRs for five, including because you not only get the sleeper chair but also a second bathroom, and the rooms, though not as large as OKW, are larger than BRV, CCV, BCV or BWV.. My second choice from your five, if you are fine with sleeping one on the floor, being overly crowded, and having only one bathroom, would be BWV if you can get boardwalk view. Also, I believe CCV does not allow 5 in a 1BR (unless one is under 3).

I guess Riviera would also be an option for 5 in a one bedroom.

Yes, Riviera would be an option. I believe it is to have an extra Murphy bed for a fifth but a single bathroom.

For Wilderness is the Fort Wilderness Campground, not Lodge. Wilderness Lodge is a different resort, but I'm sure you already know that.

I go for location. I think depending on time of May, I go for Epcot resorts because you have a chance at 7 months (unlike food and wine), and Flower and Garden is going on (which is a mini food and wine). Plus its also warm and SAB is fun, and it will be plenty warm enough.

Yes! Notwithstanding the bed situation (depends what your youngest one needs in terms of sleeping), a 1br at BCV or BWV would be great. I love the Flower and Garden Festival, the weather is glorious, and it's definitely pool weather. Riviera will sleep 5 with 3 in the living room murphy sofa and murphy bunk. While it does only have a single bath, it's a split bath like VGF, so you will have 2 showers.

I thought the 1BR at RIV only had 1 shower, but also 1 soaking tub? If it has two showers I will be very excited!!!

I am all over the place today. My inner fact checker started the weekend early. You are right - RIV 1br has only 1 shower and 1 soaking tub. I was thinking of the 2nd bath in the 2br - both dedicated and lock offs have the split bath in the 2nd bathroom, which is nice.

I think we are leaning towards Beach club. We have an air mattress in an owner’s locker so we can use that as well. As far as linens either we will have to take some down with us or hopefully someone in housekeeping will be nice enough to lend us some.
