Where should we eat, Sept 2024?

My husband and I will be staying at AKL in Sept for our 35th wedding anniversary. I have absolutely no idea what ADRs to make. I haven't been to Disney World since before the pandemic which was for a mother and daughter trip. My husband and I had our first trip as a couple to Disney World when we were dating. This is his first trip back since then and need help with what places to dine at. All suggestions welcome!

Since you'll already be a AKL, I'd suggest looking at Jiko or Sanaa (actually in the Villas - Kidani) or Boma (AKL - Jambo House). Those are all at AKL. For us, they have amazing menus, but I realize it might not be everyone's cup of tea. I hope you have a lovely anniversary!

Boathouse, Morimoto or Homecomin' at DS.
Turf Cub at SSR.
Sebastion's at CB.
Kona Cafe at Poly.

My husband and I are celebrating our 9th anniversary at AKL in September as well. It is our favourite resort, and you can't go wrong with Jiko for a special occasion dinner. All the food we've tried is wonderful, and the duck flatbread was a standout when we were there last. We also love finishing the meal with a press pot of coffee while we linger and chat. Happy Anniversary! Hope you have a great time! I'm so looking forward to our vacation as it's the first time my husband and I are going just the two of us. We've been a few times with our kids but the last time we were there just the two of us was when we were dating.

Boma is great as is Steakhouse71 (all meals) and Topolino's. We will be trying for ADR's for Halloween week. Our son is at a conference nearby and our DIL will be flying in for a few days as well. We always eat at these three restaurants as we have always had great meals and service. I cannot say that about Ohana, Le Cellier and Chef's de France which have definitely gone downhill.

In addition to the great suggestions above (especially Boma [zebra domes], Steakhouse 71 and Topolino's) I would add Ale & Compass at the Yacht Club (breakfast or dinner) and Narcoossee's at the Grand Floridian around fireworks time as yummy suggestions. Have a great celebratory vacation!

Not an ADR, but if you are going to visit AK make a stop at Nomad Lounge. It was the highlight of our child-free trip in 2019.

We will be celebrating our anniversary as well! Happy anniversary to all. I went on today to make dining for our September trip and everything was available. First time this has ever happened while planning our Disney trip. I would suggest a private firework cruise, we always enjoy them.

We have been going for our anniversary every September as we edge toward an empty nest. Last year was our 25th and we kind of did it up. This year, two kids in college means a little less, lol. Some of our favorites:

Celebration at the Top at California Grill (special app and open bar with fireworks viewing)
Monsieur Paul
Narcoossee’s
Flying Fish
BlueZoo
Steakhouse 71
Lounges! Nomad is our favorite. Tiki Terrace at Poly if you can’t get into Trader Sam’s. Space 220 lounge - we like it although it gets hate
Boma, especially breakfast
Jungle Skipper Canteen (really, the only option we would bother with in MK)
Yak n Yeti
Biergarten (my husbands fave place on earth, lol)
We often go to Disney Springs - Jaleo is wonderful but we like Homecomin’, Morimoto, Boathouse. Raglan Road is fun but hit or miss for us. We look forward to trying Summerhouse.
HS is kind of a wasteland for us. Brown Derby or its lounge is fine but we usually leave. Late brunch at Topolino’s on the Skyliner has kind of become a tradition. A character meal that is actually pretty good, fun and not hectic!

I booked yesterday morning and got everything we wanted as well! So fun and exciting to know there will be so many celebrations happening during our visit. AKL really is a perfect anniversary destination

Honestly, it hasn’t been great for us since it reopened. We would pick Flying Fish, Shula’s, or even Le Cellier over it if wanting something in the Epcot area.
