I must admit I am looking for an expensive area on Hotwire or some good discount rates. I will be travelling alone with two children and will not have a car. I hope to UBER everywhere. Is there such a thing as an affordable, inside corridor hotel that has shuttle service to Universal Hollywood, Warner Brothers Studio Tour, and/or Hollywood? Plan to site see and be a cheesy tourist. If a shuttle is not available, is there a hotel really, really, close to an easy subway line to navigate? Thanking you all in advance!

Your best bet for universal and Warner brothers is Burbank. You can easily take the Metro at the universal Station to Hollywood/Highland. I don't have soecific hotel recommendations. But Hotel Amarano and Motel (?) Tangerine are in quite neighborhoods near the studios.an Uber ride to the metro is less than 5 minutes away

Uber is widely used throughout LA and you shouldn't have a problem. Any sos ific locations you plan on visiting?

That area is crawling with Uber...short of a rental car, Uber is the only way I would consider to get around. Just too dang convenient and cheap!

Amarano is walkable to WB and that's about it. The Garland and Sportsmen's Lodge have a regular shuttles to Universal. Coast Anabelle has shuttles to BUR, USH and WB based on availability. I have no idea how available they are, and it's not really near anything else.
