Where should I be tipping extra?

Ok, I do plan on tipping extra for great service anyway but I've been reading a few threads about how some of the servers are not getting their full tip on the DDP. Some OP's mentioned that the non-Disney owned restaurants do not tip the full amount? Is there a list somewhere of which places this affects?

We'll be having a large group and I would feel terrible if the servers were undertipped! (Ok, I admit I would feel bad even if it was a small group too )

The Dining Plan includes all gratuities. You need not feel obligated to tip extra for simply good service.

Servers at non-Disney-owned restaurants are receiving a flat gratuity, so some folks want to tip them extra as a result. However, there are also reports indicating that these servers are not being "undertipped" -- one specifically mentioning that the average gratuity off of a Dining Plan table has been greater than an average gratuity off a non-Dining Plan table (because non-Dining Plan tables generally order less than the allocation).

There are several threads where we recently posted the full list of non-Disney restaurants. I'd try to Search feature to find them.

I suggest that you tip extra at any meal where you would have tipped more than 18% if you were paying for the meal OOP
